Five for Friday!

December 5, 2015

Hi there. My name is Angela, and I’m the chick behind Southern Fried Teachin’. Nice to see you again! Haha! Yeah, I know I’ve been out of the loop lately. I have some big news to share…read below to find out what it is!

I’m linking up with Doodle Bugs for her weekly linky party. It’s been a while, and I miss it. With no further ado, here we go!

A friend shared this on Facebook, and wow, did it speak to me. Like it was screaming at me. I’ve been going through some stuff lately like I’m sure many of you have been as well. I hope it can speak to some of you as well.

OK. Guilty pleasure time. I love this show. I don’t know why. Oh wait…yes, I do. I know why. I’m single and have been waiting a looooooooong time to meet my man, and I’m constantly asking God where is he. I bet these people have the done the same thing….although NONE of them have waited near as long as I have. Anybody else watch this show?

I just love it. I still love watching the couples from the first season, and the couples from the second season were just one big disaster. But such good guilty pleasure reality TV.

I wonder what kind of man the experts would set me up with.

Hmmm….

My little Lizzie. Isn’t she the cutest thing? She loves being in small, confined spaces, so I made her a little dog bed out of a basket that I had. She loves it. Seriously loves it. She curls right up in the blankets and goes to sleep.

I want to find an old drawer to make a dog bed. I have seen some adorable ones on Pinterest.

OK. Big news time.

I have been having headaches every day. Not exaggerating.

Every. Single. Day.

24/7

Some headaches are worse than others.

Some headaches turn into migraines. Migraines are the absolute worst.

So I found a craniofacial pain dentist specializing in TMD (temporomandibular joint disorder), which is what I have.

My car accident 3 1/2 years ago aggravated it and made it worse. Here is a picture of my little car.

I got a severe concussion from it, and unfortunately you just don’t know all the ramifications from it until often years later. I hadn’t realized that my headaches had gotten bad after my accident until a friend mentioned it.

So this dentist is amazing. I am taking an anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxer at night, special cream on my jaw, and I’m wearing a mouth splint 24/7 except during eating.

Yeah, it looks like a retainer, but it’s much thicker. It’s supposed to help me realign my bite and jaw, which got out of whack from the accident.

I had such a horrific migraine the other day that I had to get two shots in my jaw. Sounds fun, right?

The biggest news….

Drum roll please…..

I have officially moved!

Here is a picture of my kitchen getting painted. It was a bright yellow before.

I LOVE my new house. I love my new neighborhood. I love my new area. I am absolutely positive that I made the right decision. I knew I would regret it if I didn’t move.

So what’s been going on with you?
