Goodbye Summer Camp…..Hello Bali

You won’t be seeing me for 2 weeks.

But I have a REALLY good excuse.

I’ll be in BALI!!!

Jealous?

I’ll be doing a tour for 8 days and then I’ll be staying at a swanky honeymoon-like resort for 3 days.

CANNOT wait. Seriously.

I just finished my summer camp today and wanted to share a couple of pictures with you.

I said goodbye to this sweet thing last night. Her mom, my friend, doesn’t come home until next weekend, so I took her to a friend’s place until then.  My friend is a stay-at-home mom here in Korea with a 3-year old little boy, so Philopena will be quite loved and happy. However, I already miss her tons. Way too quiet and lonely. I can’t wait to see my own babies in a few weeks!

In one of my summer camp classes, I have a set of twin boys. One speaks and one doesn’t. They are both blind and have intellectual disabilities. Dongwoo, the one on the left with the cane, is the cutest thing. He LOVES music and singing and waves his arms around when the music is playing. When I say “Annyeong Dongwoo”, he jumps up and down and waves his arms. Love him. They are the sweetest boys, and I’m so glad I got to be their teacher during summer camp. They are not normally in my classes

This is my afternoon summer camp class, which consists of middle school and high school students (and two of the high school students are 25 and 27 and are brothers – can you pick them out?).

We had a great day today. I’ve taught them to sing several songs including A Whole New World, I Want It That Way, Hey Soul Sister, and Marry You.

My co-teacher and I love to hear them sing A Whole New World because two of the boys just belt it out like nobody’s business. It’s hilarious and makes us laugh every single time.

Hope you have fun getting ready for this school year! I’ll be soaking up the sun while relaxing on the beach.
