I’m linking up with Deanna Jump to share TEN things I want to do this summer.
I’m teaching English in South Korea this year, and Korea’s school year is from March to January. So that means I will not be getting a summer. I will have 8 days off in August. That’s it.
But….I still have things I wanna do!
Here’s my list…
10. I want read a lot of books this summer. Right now I’m reading the second book in the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. I also have the Divergent series, the Matched series, and the Game of Throne series on my Kindle list. What’s on your list?
9. My friend, Katie, and I spent the afternoon at the park yesterday, and let me tell ya….it was the absolute best day. We went to this park in downtown Daejeon…read a little bit, talked, played Nertz and rummikub, and people watched. We plan on doing this as much as can this summer.
8. I have signed up for the Color Me Rad 5K in Seoul on July 19th. I started the Couch to 5K program this week. Let’s just say that I am NOT a runner. I feel great after each run, but I sure would like to buy some new legs at the legs store. I’m hoping and praying it gets easier.
7. One of my good friends is going out of town for the summer. She’s an assistant professor here in Korea (in Korea you can teach at a university with just a Masters degree), and she gets 7 weeks off. She’s going home to the states, and I get to doggie sit. I am so excited! I miss my dogs so much, and miss Philopena is just the cutest thing. I love her to pieces, and she is the most laid back dog. Is she cute or what?
6. One of my big things on my summer to do list is GET A JOB! I am looking for a teaching job for next year. The big problem is that I will be getting home about 2 days after school starts. But hopefully my future principal will be OK with me starting a little late.
5. It happened yesterday. I was walking to the subway, and sweat started breaking out all over my face. In Korea, it gets hot. Like really hot. And it’s super humid. Now I’m from Texas, so I’m used to hot humid weather. However, in Texas, we use this thing called air conditioning. So it makes it more tolerable. In Korea, however, IF they have on the air conditioning then it’s only like on a level 1 out of levels 1-10. So I might be purchasing a parasol when out in the sun. Most Korean women use one. I just might have to as well.
4. I’m getting healthier this summer! I am taking Plexus, and it has helped me so much. Better sleep, way less migraines, less restless legs, more energy, etc. Can’t wait to see how Plexus improves my health this summer! Wouldn’t it be awesome to have the problem of having to buy new clothes?
3. I plan on watching these TV shows on Netflix at school. Yes, I get paid to watch Netflix sometimes. It’s a hard life, but someone’s gotta do it.
Do you have any must-see TV shows that I should add to my list?
2. I have 8 days off this summer, and I am hoping to go to Bali. Looks amazing, doesn’t it?
1. I leave Korea in 3 months, so I plan on living it up as much as I can. I am sure going to miss it!
Head on over to Deanna’s blog and read what everyone’s doing this summer!
By the way, if I haven’t mentioned it….I LOVE LOVE LOVE comments! They make my heart smile!
